Common Payment Problems & How to Fix Them
❌ Payment failed or timed out
Check if the amount was deducted from your account. If yes, wait 15–30 min and check your NBI account status. If not, try again with the same or different method.
❌ Amount deducted but not reflected
Wait up to 24 hours. If still not reflected, contact the NBI hotline (02) 8523-8231 with your payment receipt and reference number.
❌ Double payment
Contact NBI directly at (02) 8523-8231 or director@nbi.gov.ph with both payment receipts. Refund processing may take several weeks.
❌ Reference code expired
Over-the-counter reference codes have a limited validity (usually 24–48 hours). If expired, log back in and generate a new payment code.
❌ GCash insufficient balance
Top up your GCash before retrying. If the payment slot was reserved, you may need to wait or switch to a different payment method.
❌ Wrong amount paid (OTC)
If you paid the wrong amount at a counter, contact the payment center for a correction receipt. Then contact NBI with both the original and corrected receipts.
